Sycamores to host nation’s largest collegiate cross country meet for eighth straight year

TERRE HAUTE, IND. – The 2011 Indiana State Cross Country Pre-National Invitational will be held on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, on the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sport Center, it was announced today by Indiana State University.

The event is normally held on Saturday but was moved to Sunday due to conflicts with the Indiana State University Homecoming events.

Indiana State was selected last week to host the 2011 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships for the eighth straight year and the ninth time in the last 10 years. The host for the national championships also hosts the pre-national invitational each year.
